My xbox gold membership is not working

so today i had a problem with my gold membership, i wanted to invite a friend but it said i needed gold, i checked on my Microsoft account if maybe i turned of recurring payment but no, it said i still have gold and that i needed to pay in 17 days or something
but when i went to invite my friend again it still did not work so i went to try load into a multiplayer game and it still said that i need gold so i tried to play a game that came with gold and it didn't work so i looked up ways to fix this and i came along
a post that said to delete your account and so i did it but it didn't change a thing so then i looked back and it said that i can also try to factory rest my console without resetting my games. so i did that and it still didn't work so i went here, PS: please
help

do you have gold membership on your account or home gold

If home gold that would be why

You need to have an actual membership for 360 games with gold

Home gold only works with Xbox one

If 48hour trial then no that's not gold

I have the gold membership on my account.

i think this applies to everyone who is already in the family membership not someone who transfers regions

if you had created the family membership and not added someone this may apply you will have to contact support as this is a new tool

sharing Xbox live gold membership only works on the Xbox One. unfortunately on Xbox Live, everyone will need a gold membership to be able to talk to each other and play games together.
