    My XBox Gamertag


    So I recently removed my Account from my XBox One. I went back to go put my account back on the XBox and when I entered all my Microsoft information it doesn't have my old gamertag it gave me a whole new one. I lost all my Achievements, all my Gamerscore
    and everything else. Why didn't it use my old gamertag?

    Anyone know how to change the name it had given me?!

    I have been looking at this as for some reason, my GamerTag is my real name

    It would appear that the only place you can change your GamerTag is on the XBOX itself however there is the small matter that Microsoft also want the best part of £7 for the privilege!!!

    You might have used a different email address to download the account. You can contact Xbox Customer Support directly so that they can help you locate the exact email address tied to your old Gamertag. They can just use the old Gamertag to pull up your

    Unable to change gamertag

    I'm trying to change my classic gamertag which is the one you see in games. My classic gamertag got changed and my Xbox One and Xbox App gamertag stayed the same (the Xbox One gamertag is the ones they added with the new gamertag system).

    My Xbox One gamertag is different to my in-game gamertag and I want my classic gamertag to be changed. You can only change your classic gamertag on the Xbox One console, I have tried using the other ways and you can only change your Xbox Gamertag, not your
    classic gamertag.

    The reason I want to change my classic gamertag is that the classic gamertag can be fifteen characters and the Xbox One gamertag can only be 12 characters. If I use the other ways to change my gamertag it limits me to 12 characters and sets both my gamertags
    to that.

    Just to clarify...when you say all licenses, you mean all licenses for that gamertag regardless of which xbox purchased it? I was hoping to leave the licenses on the other xboxes. If I bought my daughter a game on her xbox under my gamertag and one for
    everyone in the livingroom under my gamertag...if I do a transfer under my gamertag to my xbox in the bedroom no one can play the game under THEIR gamertag on their xbox anymore? Is there anyway to do a license transfer that DOESN'T merge ALL licenes?
