    My Xbox gamer tag was changed with out my consent and it did not violate the code of conduct.


    So my xbox gamer tag was changed today with out my consent. I spoke to costumer support the believe it was changed because of an issue with the tag so they decided to do a forced name change. I have had my gamer tag for the last three and a half years. made
    my gamer tag when i went overseas serving because some looked at me an said i look like mark sanchez aka **** from the Jets during that time frame. So as a running joke i made the gamer tag [Mod Removed] gamer tag and i had it ever since until this morning.
    I couldn't see my gamer tag and then realized they changed my gamer tag with out me knowing.AT first i thought i got hacked but then when i spoke to customer service they told me to do this to get it rectified. To make matters worse they changed it to witty
    puppy and they don't even allow me to change my gamer tag telling me i have to pay to change it even though i violated no code of conduct. i want my old gamer tag back and i hope that the xbox police committee fix this and reviews this post asap because it
    is unfair to have this happen when i had my sn for over three years no question asked.

    Hello my gamer tag was changed with out my permission from "CTW SCAT21" to "" I don't see how my original gamer tag violates the code of conduct. The gamer tag is not offensive. If I can't keep the original GT at least let me choose the next
    GT.

    Any help who be great!

    Forced Gamertag change! need to talk to enforcement team

    i signed on to xbox to find that my gamer tag had been changed. i would like to speak to a member of the enforcement team about being refunded the price i paid to change my gamer tag. the gamer tag i had did not in any way violate the code of conduct and
    therefore i should be allowed to change it again without paying. please respond thank you

    They can explain why it violated the name creation. You will not get a free change anymore. It does not matter how long you have had the Tag - it only takes one complaint.

    No Matter ^_^,     The only way is that The owner of the gamer-tag must change it himself or when a forced gamer tag change is imposed due to the gamer-tag violated the code of conduct in any sort of way.

    Your gamer tag was deemed inappropriate or offensive and they changed it because it violated the code of conduct.

    You can argue to your blue in the face but you wont get the gamer tag name back.

    If you are wondering why you didn't get a free name change you can blame the people that abused the system by just changing the gamertag to another offensive or inappropriate gamer tag.

    So I suggest you let it go and either use the gamer tag you were given or buy some points and change it to an appropriate gamer tag that will not violate the code of conduct.

    this is the code of conduct. Some where a long the lines your gamer tag did violate the CoC. Once the change is set you will have to pay $10 to change it. Sorry once it's set it's set nothing else can be done.

    As previously stated on my first post, When an Xbox live member chooses an Xbox gamer-tag, they have the full rights to keep that gamer-tag even know if they have been inactive for years along with no gamer-score & no gold membership, The owner of the gamer-tag
    must change it himself or when a forced gamer tag change is imposed due to the gamer-tag violated the code of conduct in any sort of way, Other than that, Your out of luck. Sorry.
