  1. My Xbox Game Bar and Windows Taskbar are Being Dragged To the Left

    I recently switched to pc from Xbox but still regularly use the Xbox app. However every time I plug in my controller and open the game bar, the 'selector' moves to the left as if I have stick drift even though that doesn't happen in the games I play. Even after I unplug the controller on both ends and close the game bar, it still continues on the Windows taskbar and moves to the menu at the bottom-left corner. I have to manually restart my pc after I finish playing since I can't select the option to restart with the selector constantly moving to the left. I haven't found any relevant information on the internet so far so I came here for help. Any thoughts?

    :)

    Thanks, Big try this to see if that does the trick:

    I see, let's try this mate:

    Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

    Click Check for Updates;

    Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

    Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.

    Then:

    Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

    After that, click repair and then reset

    Then do the same for the Xbox app and game bar:

    Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

    After that, click repair and then reset and give it a new try

    -------

    In case that doesn't work, try uninstalling game bar via powershell command (as administrator)

    Right-click on the Start button and select Windows PowerShell (Admin) from the pop-up menu.

    Copy and paste the following command in PowerShell and hit Enter to uninstall the Game Bar from your system.

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackage

    Restart your PC and head over to Microsoft Store and search for Xbox Game Bar and see if you're able to install it now

    Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.
    I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

    Hope you're doing great today despite this Big

    Buddy, if you're able to do it.
    Could you try connecting a different Xbox controller to see if the issue persists?

    Where is this happening? I mean, on windows 11 or 10?
    And, the controller is connected via cable or via bluetooth/wireless adapter?

    This helps us to isolate the issue a bit more

    I'll be waiting for your answers, greetings from another Microsoft user

    Thank you for the response, and I'm using windows 10 for the time being. Also, my controller is connected by a USB to USB-c cable. Unfortunately, I don't have another Xbox controller to test, however, this problem doesn't occur while playing on my PC or while using my Xbox, just on the game bar and Microsoft taskbar.
