My xbox freezes whenever it loads gameplay on any disc

I've been having some issues with my xbox 360 slim loading games. Whenever I put in a game disc, it will load perfectly fine until I get to a part where I can move around and play, such as looking around in the Black Ops menu, or when I load a match in
Black Ops 2. I can select from the menu and choose a match, but when it comes to actually playing, the screen will freeze, and I'm stuck staring at the loading screen. This has never happened before, and just recently my Xbox had started flashing pixels at
startup and on the dashboard. I don't know what to do , and I am very frustrated. Please help!

Loading Disc Problem GTA IV

So I have GTA IV and I put the disc in to play it. whenever i put the disc in, it freezes my whole console and doesn't load the game, i have tried everything but nothing works.

Whenever I turn this on the game just seems to hang for ages when I try to do anything such as...

• Pressing Start at the beginning
• Accessing game modes
• Loading saved game
• Saving progress

It freezes so much so that I cannot even access the Xbox quick menu by pressing the Xbox button on the controller.

The game eventually loads and there are no problems with freezing during the actual gameplay.

Is this normal or do I have an issue with my Xbox / disc?

 

EDIT: After searching the Internet for a solution, I've come to discover that my graphics card may be fried. Any advice to fix it? I think my warranty has already expired...

If all fail then you will need to request a repair like mentioned at the end of the steps.

When requesting a repair, it will also show the costs of the repair when the console is outside of warranty.
