My xbox formatted itself because of some random update from xbox live and I would like to know ...

I get on my Xbox today only to receive a 1.3GB update. After the download it restarted and started another update. That other update was the Day One update every Xbox receives when you start your console for the first time. Than after that it started the
Day One process like selecting your region and signing into your profile (Which you cant do at the moment lol) SO basically this random Xbox update formatted and reset my Xbox and I would like to know why.

Xbox just reset after interal drive after update

Everything functioned just fine up until today for me. Im apart of the Dashboard Preview group too. Did your xbox get a random 1.3GB update and format/reset itself? Mine and a few others did and I would like to know why. The sign in issue is just an annoyance
on top because I cant even recover my cloud files. My xbox formatted itself because of some random update from xbox live and I would like to know why.

Banned my xbox

hèllo my gt is and i havr been banned from xbox live. I would likr to know the reason and not because of some random players that lose! I would like some proof thsnk you because i am a little pissed!

Cant really say why, we know about as much as you do. All I can say is just redownload your games and profile. At least all your saved data is stored online, so you wont have lost much besides download time.

Apparently it was an error with the preview / beta dashboard service - so people on the beta dashboard got the update notice and people who weren't, didn't. Guess that's the risk you take when you choose to test unfinished software. As Spyroman said, once
I was able to actually log back into Live, all my pins and settinggs were in place and I just had to (sigh) download apps and games again. No big deal in the long run - all the saves and even passwords and such for Netflix app were in "the cloud".
