    Hi there,

    By default, the Xbox One is in Instant-On mode which enabled the "Xbox on" command, and checks for updates and downloads them as such when switched off. So it still pulls power and does some processes. You can change this by going to
    Settings --> Power & Startup and changing the power mode to
    Energy saving    .

    Any scratches on the discs? I'd suggest trying a new one just to see if that's the problem.

    Yes I've tried holding down the power button and i tried unistalling and reinstalling but it still does the same thing. I even tried a disc game and again when I try to play it the screen goes black and the console turns off.

    Have you tried hard resetting your Xbox? (Holding down the power button until the Xbox shuts off)
