My XBOX ELITE CONTROLLER SERIES 2 is no longer working appropriately, and is in need of repair.

As subject states. My controller is no longer consistently accepting inputs, particularly from the "LB" button. I had started to notice over a month ago that occasionally the face buttons (ABXY) would either not input immediately or would double press, but
it was incredibly inconsistent and I couldn't replicate it. I figured at first that maybe I just was playing poorly, but last night the "LB" button started to show consistent issues, ignoring inputs and when it would work, failing to recognize when it was
being held down. This continued to be an issue in several games I tried to play last night (Warframe and Monster Hunter World for example)

I attempted to update the controller. It concluded saying no update was available and it was already up to date. The problem continues. For the moment I am attempting to rebind the back paddles to make it work that way, however that's only a stop-gap measure.
The controller needs to be repaired or replaced.

I am frankly amazed that I'm running into this kind of problem on the "Premium" Xbox Controller after less than 8 months on light wear, when the basic ones lasted me for 2 years each before analog stick drift got excessive back when I had more free time.
I need this fixed ASAP.

Thank you for your help, but while that's progress that isn't actually fixing the problem. The replacement order there charges $99 + shipping.

While that is an improvement over the $180 price to buy a new one outright, that doesn't solve the issue of a "premium" controller not lasting a year, when the basic ones last 2+ years.

Further, the "Contact Us" portal you're directing me to says "Phone calls and chats aren't available for this issue." I have already tried all available troubleshooting tips there before I posted to the forum.

about elite series 2, I think this has more problem....

I have 2 elite series 2, my rubber knobs on the hair trigger locks came off too.

And My 'A' button is very bad..

The Elite Series 2 controller has a 1 year warranty.

If your controller isn’t working and needs replacing, go to https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/controller/controller-warranty and
enter the controller’s serial number at the bottom of that page. For the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, the 14-character serial number is in the lower centre on the back of the controller.
