    My xbox elite 2 controller constantly disconnects while the USB cable is plugged in.


    I like to play games while the controller is plugged into the console. It reduces input delay and feels so much more quick than it does playing without the USB plugged in. But, I've been having a problem that happens frequently and it is very frustrating. When I'm playing one of my games the controller disconnects randomly and causes me to die in the game. This happening as often as it does (and honestly it happening at all) really gets on my nerves. This never happened before and I'm confused as to why it's happening now. Now I am forced to play without the USB plugged in and it affects my performance. This is ridiculous and I'm sick of it. Is there any way to fix this because it really pisses me off. $180 for it to be disconnecting while plugged in? Ridiculous.

    Are you able to test it on another console or on the PC to see if the issue still happens on other device?

    Thanks for trying it. The controller is only disconnected when it is plugged, right? Are you able to test other USB cables to see if this is not the issue?

    So the controller is only disconnected when it is plugged, right? Are you able to test other USB cables to see if this is not the issue? Please power reset your console and test the controller using another cable if possible:

    1​​. Turn off your console and your router/modem.
    2. Unplug all the cables from both devices (power, HDMI, etc..) and wait 2 minutes.
    3. After 2 minutes, plug all the cables in again on your router/modem and wait for all the lights to show up.
    ​​​4. Plug all the cables on your console and turn it on.

    Yes it only disconnects while plugged. Ive tried multiple different cables and the same thing happens.
