My xbox download speed caps at 5mbps second?

the problem is probably the traffic made from your network to the microsoft servers, which is not good traffic, it has nothing to do with the quality of your connection itself, and it is only possible to change this by changing the traffic, as it is very subjective, and unlikely to be able to change without changing the provider.

you can try with vpn, changing ip, or dns, are some of the options, which xbox model are you using?

All ports are open, but it is still maxing out at 5Mbps. I purchased a game from my Xbox 360 and it took 8 hours for it to download because of the speed cap. It used to take 3 hours for a game to completely download, but now it is a totally different story.

I also have the same issue I have Telstra nbn as of July my download speeds have on Xbox one x have been so terrible I do a wifi speed test and it gets 50mbps and on my Xbox it struggles to get above 5mbps per second for downloading games sometimes killerbyts.

I am trying to download the new COD and it could be a server issue... On my end I have carried out speed tests on my phone, laptop and Xbox and they are all reporting the download speeds of up to 50Mbps. yet my download speed in 'games and apps' for the
COD game has not reached over 5Mbps as of me last checking and is dropping to as low as 500Kbps.

The NAT is also open..

Cant do a wired connection bc my xbox is upstairs and my router is downstairs. I did the test and got a ping of 102, upload speed of 4.7 mbps, download speed of 2.9 mbps, a strength of 100%, and a wifi speed of 5mbps. Based on that and the minimums on
the test instructions im thinking that isnt my issue, though my download speed is a little lower than the minimum it is not by much. I am confused how the download speed is half what the upload speed is and if there is a way to change that i would like to
know
