My Xbox doesn’t seem to be connecting to my WiFi booster? Any help?

I have the Tether app for my RE650 WiFi booster, and I can see from the “clients” section that my phone is connected to the booster.

But, when I try and connect the Ethernet Cable from my Xbox to the booster, it connects and my Xbox sees it has a hard wired connection.

However, when I go on the Tether app, and I check out the “clients” section, there’s no sign that the Xbox is connected to the booster, like my phones?

It’s a really confusing situation and I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. It’s especially confusing because there’s no way I can see, which Wi-Fi network that I’m connected to(whether it’s the booster, or my broadband router) on my Xbox.

**I need to mention that the RE650 adds an additional WiFi network that you use to connect and improve signal strength.** Just think it’s important to mention this.

    :)

My Xbox doesn’t seem to be connecting to my WiFi booster? Any help?

    Hi again Imran

If none of the possible solutions have worked it is possible that the problem is in your Xbox, Another option I can recommend is to report the problem through microsoft support at the following link.

    https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?SourceApp=smcivr1

Navigate to the search bar and enter your problem. Press Enter or click "Get Help". Log in to access the support options. Choose the appropriate product, select the appropriate category and confirm your selection. The system will offer you support options to help you further.

Already this is a problem that goes beyond someone from the forum can solve it, what remains is to insist to support, remember that we are gamers just like you and we solve problems that are only in our scope but we are not microsoft employees.

It is also likely that the system bounces the request because they are receiving many requests lately and this really collapses.

Thanks for your understanding and I hope the issue will be solved.

    Best regards Oskayra

My Xbox doesn’t seem to be connecting to my WiFi booster? Any help?

Hi Jose- I have done most of those things, aside from directly connecting to the router. I will test this tonight and see what happens.

I’ve also noticed that if I connect my Xbox to the wireless connection, it will give me a list of options of what WiFi networks to choose, and thus, allows me to connect to my RE650 Booster WiFi. However, that is wireless unfortunately!

Is there a way for the Xbox to allow me give me a list of networks to choose, when you’re wired?

My Xbox doesn’t seem to be connecting to my WiFi booster? Any help?

Unfortunately I don’t think it’s the cable, as I have no problems connecting my Ethernet Cable from my PS4 to the booster.

    It’s very strange.

I did nearly everything, and I still have this problem. Is it possible to talk to an agent on livechat?

My Xbox doesn’t seem to be connecting to my WiFi booster? Any help?

Hi Jose- I have contacted TP-Link, and they told me to contact Microsoft. I don’t think it’s the booster’s fault, as my 2 iPhones and Playstation 4 can connect to the booster no problem, and I can see from the Tether app that there’s 3 devices connected.

The problem that I have currently is my Tether app suggests that my Xbox isn’t connected to my booster, when I see the “clients” list. I don’t see the Xbox device on there, and I have rebooted my booster 2x.

The Xbox says that it’s hardwired, and is connected, but like I mentioned, I have no clue which WiFi network the Xbox is connected to. If there’s a way to see this, please let me know? Thank you
