My xbox doesn't download while its off

First, welcome to the Xbox community, and we're sorry this one is having this issue. Before we try any of these solutions, I suggest you check the configuration below on your console.

Start by pressing the Xbox button on the controller.

Go to System > Settings.

Find and select the Power mode and Startup menu.

Under Power Options, highlight Power mode and press A.

You have the choice of Instant-on or Energy-saving. Select Instant-on to enable it.

- If this doesn't solve the problem, I suggest you try the solutions below.

Solution 1:

Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

Solution 2:

Press the Xbox button.

Open Settings.

Go to Network and select Network settings.

Select Advanced settings.

Select Alternate MAC Address.

Select Clear.

Select Restart.

Solution 3:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:

- Select the option to keep your games and apps so that they are not deleted, make sure you know your email and password as they will be removed from the console and you will need to add them again.

The thing is, nothing is my queue downloads to the 360 even while the system is turned on. It just sits there and my download queue doesn't empty at all. I thought I could start downloads on the web while the 360 was powered off as long as background downloads
were enabled and auto update games was on, it would push the download queue to it while off. Guess that is a xboxone feature. So basically I have to keep my 360 powered on for me to download what's in my queue, then when I power it off, it will keep on downloading
whats in there? That's odd that it works like that.

Still doesn't help me though since nothing is downloading while the 360 is on. What else can I try? Thanks!

I have tried all of the messages you suggested but sea of thieves doesn't appear to show up in my library as a downloadable game, and there is no way for me to download it while using the xbox app and its companion.
