My xbox doesn't connect to the TV its been using for over a year, and turns itself off...

Worked fine then after a restart it doesn't connect to screen and it turns itself off after exactly one minute I have tried unplugging completely multiple times, different outlets, different hdmis, and I got dust out none of which helped. I dont
have a warranty either so is there anything else I can do? Could this have to do with an update or something either?

We are having the same issue—just started last night! All of a sudden it won’t work! The XBox has power, just won’t connect at all! We’ve tried different TVs, outlets, power cables...nothing...

Those support pages didn't help at all thats why I asked the question in a thread. I belive it has to do with an update because it came out of nowhere other experience it, and its right around the time of a new xbox release

I have been in contact with Xbox Support and they are suggesting that running the TV app in full screen is making the XboxOne consider that activity and therefore it'll never turn off... despite whether it's actually receiving a signal or not (my TiVo shuts
itself off after 4 hours). Doesn't seem much use for an entertainment centre to never turn itself off when you're using the TV app even if no TV signal is being received. It should really look for button presses or if the controller hasn't been connected for
a period of time then it's likely the XboxOne could shut itself down. I might try tonight putting the XboxOne to Home and switching to another source to see whether it's off by morning. If it is then it's unlikely I'll be using the Xbox to watch TV anymore.

I just got an X1 box and my Xbox One cannot recognize it to interact or control live tv. (I can view TV through the xbox but can't change channels, use the guide, etc)

The problem is that the Xbox knows it has connected with the stb by turning it off, and this X1 stb does not turn off. (its remote does not turn it off at all, it just eventually puts itself to sleep).

Help?
