My Xbox doesn't appear on Connect in the Xbox App, any ideas on how to fix?

I have streamed my Xbox One a few times using the Xbox App, when one day the app said my console was turned off when it was turned on. So, i forgot the Xbox and tried to re-add it as a device in the app, but it didn't appear. After hours of restarts and
googling i have found no solution. Please Help.

Pre-order Achievement for Xbox One pops on screen but not appearing on my account.

I pre-ordered the Xbox One through the Xbox 360 app and saw the 0G achievement notification on my screen, however the achievement doesn't appear on my account. Any ideas?

 

Xbox App doesn't see my Xbox one

Hi everybody,

version of my xbox app is 15.17.3003.0000 (actual). My PC and Xbox one are in the same subnet mask. I can connect via smartglass app on my phone with android, but on the PC, my Xbox app doesn't see Xbox. Typing IP directly doesn't help.

Xbox app also doesn't show xobo one games, only xbox 360....

Any ideas where can be problem?

Try Settings>Network settings>Advanced>Alternate MAC>Clear then it will want to restart. If that doesn't work Then go to your xbox settings in network and check services. Also make sure your Smartglass is Enabled.

 

Did anything change in the network where your Xbox is installed?

Do you know the IP address of your Xbox, and the IP address of your computer?

To get the IP address of your xbox:

Home -> Settings -> Network -> Advanced Settings -> IP Settings

You'll see the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and a bunch of other information listed on the right hand side.

Make a not of this information.

To find the IP address of your PC (Assuming a Windows machine):

Start ->Run -> Type in cmd and press enter -> In the black window that opens up type ipconfig and look for eth0.

Now you know the IPs of both devices.

First step is to try and connect to the XB1 using its IP address. In the Xbox app:

Start the Xbox app. In the navigation pane, select Connect, enter the Xbox One IP address into the Xbox One not listed? Enter your console’s IP address box, and then select Connect.

If this doesn't work please post back with your IP addresses, subnet masks, etc. - any information that you think may help.

Also as oupyee stated, make sure your Xbox allows SmartGlass connections:

Check that your Xbox One console allows SmartGlass connections. You’ll find this on the console by going to Settings, selecting Preferences, and then selecting Allow SmartGlass Connections.

I haven't tried clearing the mac thing yet but i have tried the ip addresses. For some reason it still doesn't work.

 

Did you check the SmartGlass setting?

Are your Xbox and PC on the same subnet?
