    Hi - I have just bought a new Xbox after my original one did not read any discs. Please can someone help me as the new one does not either!!!!

    My Xbox 360 won't play games

    So I got a 20gb Xbox 360 so I don't have that many games I do have disc games and some download but I mostly play skyrim that is downloaded to my harddrive but for some reason my Xbox think it has a disc inside so I get the error. That said this disc is unreadable clean the disc with soft cloth reset console I did. So does any of you guys know why it doing this and would this effect any apps.

    Can't play Doom 3

    I believe the message is 'unable to start, please download again'. I don't have any other Xbox original games, but the disc itself does work in my original Xbox so I have confirmed it's not a faulty disc.

    Both the disc and the console are PAL.

    Sorry to hear it. Where did you get the disc games from? Have you considered returning the console back to the store for an exchange?

    Sorry but I'm only asking to confirm that the discs are original discs and not copies as copied discs can only work in modified consoles. If this is the case then this conversation must end as discussion of mods is forbidden on the forums.

    Sorry for any perceived insult in the comment.

    Please Describe the situation better, Does it play and then say its unrecognized? Does it Sit there reading for 10 Minutes then say Unrecognized Disc, or does it Just say its Unrecognized, I recommend sending it in for Repairs and getting the laser fixed.

    I have gotten that, on sports games, like madden, or older games, the only games I play are newer.

    Hi,

    When you say 'older disc' is this game a backwards compatible 360 game disc?

    Do you have any Blu-ray movies or DVD discs to try in your console?

    Apologies for the delayed reply. Are you able to try other Xbox 360 discs to see if a similar issue occurs? Does the Xbox One console recognize that the disc is a Black Ops II disc, or does the Xbox One console not acknowledge that any disc is in while Black

    I am having the exact issue with my Xbox one. No there is no message nor does it even realize there is a disk in it. It is the only game having the issue. There is no damage to the disk and Xbox is only a month old. Ops 2 still plays in my 360.

    why does my disc install keep stopping at 5.5%?

    sounds like there could be a scratch on the disc stopping it from installing. is there any way you could get another copy of the game and see if it work? have u tried any other disc games to see if they install okay?
