    My Xbox disc reader won’t work


    I want to keep this short so my xbox basicly wont run any disc games a says “ error 0x82D40007 occurs when you launch a game” im thinking i should just buy a new xbox any tips?

    Yeah the same thing is happening to my mates xbox. Sounds like the disc reader is faulty. Needs to be repaired.

    Hi mickeynuggetsma,

    The All digital Xbox S is good if you wanna go 100% digital. The only thing with that console you won't be able to play any of your physical copies of games you have. I recommend checking your warranty status of your Xbox. If it is under warranty you
    can send it to Microsoft or take it your local Microsoft store to have it service. If it is under warranty they will charge a fee. Or an alternative, would be taking it Gamestop but they charge a fee too. Best of Luck!

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We suggest changing your console's power mode to energy-saving. Also, we recommend

    power cycling     the console by holding down the power button on the console for ten seconds. If this does not resolve the issue, then you may need to
    request a repair     for the console. Be sure to let us know the results!
