    My xbox decided to reset itself


    My xbox decided to reset itself now I have to reinstall everything. Can somoeone please explain why this happened or what microsoft is willing to do to fix it. Seem to have happened to only people in insider program the whole more bugs and glitches but no
    one said anything about reseting xbox and having to make us setup our xbox all over again

    My card was reset back to one as well. I was on my 16th card. I decided to proceed with my workout hoping it would fix itself after, but now it says I'm on my 3rd card.

    Xbox factory reset itself

    My Xbox decided it wanted to factory reset itself, so when I tried to use my gamer tag it says it's already taken, how do I sign back into my original gamer tag, and will I get my game data back. EVERY APP AND GAME has been reset. Wtf??! Somebody help me
    before I throw this damn thing into the street and shoot it. Please.

    Xbox decided to reset itself?!?

    Thank you for writing to Xbox Community Forums.

    We understand that you are having issue with your Xbox which will reset while you are on the game. As per description, it will keep on restarting, asking for a controller to sign in and yet still it will turn off by itself. Let us check on this together and sort this out. Rest assured, we will do to the best in our capability to assist you with your concern and help you back to gaming.

    This issue often is caused by corrupted data in the console which prevents the home screen from loading correctly, this can often be fixed by a factory restore. Now as you can't actually access the settings to do this there is a way to restore to factory defaults using a USB flash drive.

    If you visit the offline system diagnostic support page you can download the Restore Factory Defaults file: How to reset your Xbox console to factory defaults | Xbox Support



    Read through the process of formatting the flash drive etc thoroughly and follow the instructions as if you were doing a system update but using the file you downloaded you may find that your console will then boot correctly.

    My Xbox resets itself

    The only time the Xbox consoles will do this if anyone resets the console and chooses keep games and apps. this then resets the software which means accounts removed but keeps all the installed games as they are.

    It is your responsibility to make a note of your emails and passwords so as to never forget them and to maintain the information on those accounts.
