My Xbox crashing games and not letting me use a controller

I'm starting to notice the problem with my Xbox but seems to happen is when I fired up in the morning first time happened it crashes every game I load up whether it was downloaded or runs off of disc and soon after that happens it tells my controller to stop working it's not a problem with the controller because if I connect to my phone it works perfectly fine and I've also noticed that even when I hit the power switch the fan still runs and it's actively overheating itself and every night I have to unplug it and then replug it when I get up in the morning for maybe a half an hour of gameplay but I still remotely connect to it easier to the app just how I play games for the Rush of the time

Hello, regarding your issue I will provide with a list of troubleshooting steps that you can try on your console in order to resolve the issue:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

Another step that you can try to resolve the issue, would be to remove and re-add your account. In order to do that please go to: settings> account> remove accounts> remove your account.

You could also try this troubleshooting step to clear any corrupted data from your device:

1- Go to settings on your Xbox

2- Select system

3-Select storage

4- Clear local saved games and your console will automatically restart

Note: When doing this step please make sure that you always play online so that all your data is saved to the cloud

If the issue still persists after going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 10-15 seconds plug all your cables back in and then restart your console.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

Thanks I have found that the shutting down and unplugging it has worked on fixing my controller and the crashing problem most of the time it's still crashes occasionally but less often

Hi, i have been having this same issue and tried doing a system restore while jeeping games and apps along with all the other steps outlined... the Xbox accessories app continues to crash and not let me button my my elite controller

My game let's me play anywhere between 5-60 minutes before it crashes my Xbox one but no other game does that, how do I find out why it's crashing?

My controller started doing the same thing then crashed completely when your stupid new controller update popped up, now it wont update and only the middle button works, if i reset my xbox it works fine until it tells me my controller needs an update then
it crashes again immediately, thanks for giving me a required update that crashes my hardware, your great xbox.....
