    My Xbox controllers don’t turn on at all, they blink for 1-3 seconds and then turn off even...


    So I turned on my Xbox as per usual, and turned on my controller, and it blinked, then shut off. I thought, “Okay it’s dead?” Even though nobody had been using the controller. I put it on charge for a couple minutes, and it still didn’t even turn on completely for 5 seconds. The controller is paired and everything, I even tried 3 other controllers and none of them turned on. Now, they might be dead, but the light was acting a bit weird, it flash once, be a faint light for a second and then brighten and then turn off. So I’m maybe freaking out, all of the controls are conveniently dead, or there’s something wrong.

    Have you tried new batteries? Rechargeable batteries have a life span. At some point, they will no longer hold a charge, regardless of how long you keep them on the charger. Try some regular batteries and see if you have the same problem.

    Hello Anthonyu, in cases like this try waiting for the control to dry completely, and then test to see if it turns on normally again.

    If you turn it on and the blinking continues, follow the procedures below to see if it returns to normal.

    If you have a USB cable, try to follow the procedures bellow.

    First remove the batteries from the controller and for 1 minute keep pressing all the buttons on the controller and moving the knobs.

    After you're done, plug the USB cable controller into your console and turn it on.

    Then clear the cache on the console and check if the control has any updates to be made.

    1. Go to the Xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off

    2. Wait 10 seconds until it turns off

    3. Wait 1 minute with it off

    4. Turn it back on

    After the console restarts and I'm at the console start screen, put the batteries back in the controller, remove the USB cable and see if it back to normal.

    The second one you mentioned where lights 1 and 4 blink alternatively with 2 and 3 is the warning for the controller battery being low, as for the first one I only get that when I first turn the controller on and wakes up the console and then

    Hello Santi, if you have a USB cable, try to follow the procedures bellow.

    Look for controller updates in the Xbox accessories part, if you have an update available, do it.

    Then clear the cache on the console and check if the control has any updates to be made.
