My xbox controller won't connect to my pc.

I am trying to plug my Xbox controller into my PC so I can play Elden Ring again. However, it won't connect. I have never had this issue before, but I just recently switched the USB cable I have been using. At first, I thought the issue was with the new USB cable I've been using, but I tried using other ones and none of them worked. Whenever I plug my controller into my PC, the controller vibrates but doesn't connect to the PC. Instead, the Xbox button doesn't glow up, and when I hold down on it, the light flashes like it is trying to pair with another Xbox. I have also tried other USB ports on my computer and still get the same results. I'm starting to think it might be an issue with the controller, but after further deduction, it makes no sense. Any help is appreciated.

Try these steps

1 Connect the controller

2 Restart your PC (with the controller)

3 Check for updates (with the controller inserted)

4 Get the updates (with the controller inserted)

5 Open the device manager

6 Look for the "Xbox peripherals" category

7 Find the controller in that category

8 Right-click on it

Update driver

Scan online automatically

Wait for the update to finish

If there was no update:

Right-click on the driver

Press uninstall

Restart your device.

Unfortunately the controller vibrates, and does not connect, or the X symbol on the controller just blinks, this is a warning of the controller that it needs repair. This usually occurs when there is a problem with the board's software.

If your controller is under the 90-day warranty, I can send you the process to trigger it.

I tried connecting it with a cable to my Xbox and it won't detect it. I also tried to connect it wirelessly to my phone and it connects but the white light on the controller keeps flashing, and it won't do anything. It only works when I connect it with a cable on my pc. It doesn't work on any other device wired or wireless.
