    My Xbox controller suddenly desyncs form my Xbox and doesn't resync


    this has happened twice to me I will be playing a game then suddenly the controller will cut out and then doesn't do anything. It turns on but it doesnt work. I've had the controller for 6 months and it would work fine then but it happened twice recently
    and won't resync I've tired turning it off and on again. Trying to resync or changing the batteries but it won't work and still doesn't. I'll take any adivce to get it working again. Or some explanation as to why this is happening now

    Controller becoming unresponsive

    This is happening to me as well. Already exchanged my Xbox One X with another one (also Project Scorpio Edition). Both exhibit same behavior. Controller turns on the console then desyncs. I have to turn it off and on again for it to resync.

    This only happens when console is completely off.

    Project scorpio edition controller desyncs when stepping 5 feet away from the console.

    project scorpio edition controller desyncs after stepping 5 feet away from the console in wireless mode. controller will not resync unless i turn the controller completely off and turn it back on. I have tried new batteries and I have also tried a different
    controller to ensure it isn't the console itself. i have tried syncing the controller with the cable and using the sync button but the issue persists. anybody else having this issue? is my controller defected?

    Do you have another controller you can try on your console? Or do you have a friend nearby with an Xbox One that you can use to test your controller on? Also, have you tried forcing a sync between your controller and the console by using a USB cable yet? If
    not, try that and see if the controller will sync that way.

    We're trying to narrow down if the issue is with your controller or your console so keep us posted! My Xbox controller suddenly desyncs form my Xbox and doesn't resync :)

    Make sure the controller doesn't need an update by going the Accessories app and plugging the controller in with a wire. If that's all good I would resync the controller to the Xbox.
    i do the update and nothing new, how can i resync the controller to the xbox ??

    I'm wondering since you mentioned that the controller is resyncing / desyncing more when you are playing media, what if there is outside interference? Check around and maybe turn off some wireless devices to see if that will help. If you have a friend with
    an Xbox One, you can also try bringing your controller to him, sync it to his system and see if the same type of problems arise. Best of Luck!
