My xbox controller has a problem.

The left stick whenever I go up once to select something it skips over and continues to the top even when i'm not touching the controller.

This might be a little confusing but all suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi Liam,

Thanks for coming to the forums. If you are in a game, does the action move forward also? If so, this is called stick drift. It is the most common thing that happens to controllers. Personally every controller I owned eventually gets this in one direction.
If you have owned it less than 90 days you can set up a repair. If older than that best thing would be to replace the controller, as this will not go away.

I used this video some time before to repair my controller and it worked! Just make sure to not use too much alcohol

Clean buttons with rubbing alcohol and ear cleaners. Mine wasn't broken just dirty.
