    My Xbox console is turn on but there nothing showing up on the tv, it just a black screen...


    At first i turn my xbox console on and it turn on but it just show a black screen so i tried to turn it off but it wont turn off until i pull out the plug from the wall outlet. Then i put the plug back in and try turning it on again but it doesnt turn
    on so i pull out the power cable from the xbox console for couple of second and plug it back in and it did turn on but then it was still showing black screen on the tv.

    Is the HDMI cable connected to the xbox and tv?

    My Xbox One Isn't working properly.

    Same black screen. Power display shows on, my Tv HDMI input shows receiving signal but black screen on xbox. Home button shows it’s there and option to turn console off or controller off but that is all I can do. Smh !

    Yes, the black screen. My tv shows I have something in the hdmi slot and when you turn the power on the xbox you see you tv go to a black screen and you have no sound control or anything. I left it on the green screen for 10-15 minutes during first set up
    and it went to a fuzz screen then black. Now just black every time you turn it on. So disappointed. But of all else fails I'm getting a new one from GameStop Sunday. If anyone hears something new please update here.

    One follow up question I have is, when you turn on the Xbox does your TV show completely black screen or is it giving you an error message like nothing is hooked up to it because those are two significant ways of finding out what the issue is

    I turned my rebooted the system because I thought it was frozen and now all I get is a black screen. My tv recognizes the xbox but it just goes straight to a blank screen and then nothing. Is there any way to reset it???
