my xbox console ban

Hi everyone,

I recently received a xbox one console from a third party, I tried connecting it to my account and it says “this console is banned from xbox network”. Hardware on xbox is in tact and it hasn’t been tempered with, console was never opened. I would like to connect it to my account. My account is clean of any suspensions or bans, Is there a possibility to remove that ban from my console?

To be clear the console doesn't have to be opened to be banned to get a console ban, the original owner may have done something on Xbox Live, for example hate speech etc. Microsoft issued a temporary ban, the original owner didn't learn their lesson and kept on doing the same thing, the bans would hve been issued until finally they got a console ban.

It's been 4 days and no reply? What is the reason for no reply. why post in here for help? When they don't even reply back.

Do any other users play on that xbox? Or was it recently purchased through a second-party?
It's possible that another player who has or had access was given an xbox a device ban by the Xbox Policy and Enforcement Team, and in that case you would have to purchase a new one to continue playing.

Unfortunately, the ban won't be lifted on the box even if the ownership of the it has changed. This site doesn't handle enforcement actions so we're unable to assist you with that.
