My Xbox can't detect properly my HDD.

I recently run into a problem with my Xbox One, that is I ran out of space on it.

So I purchased a 2TB SeaGate HDD (the Xbox edition), and attached it to my Xbox. My is that, the Xbox can't detect my HDD in my opinion properly. The thing what is happening with me, is that the screen starts flashing with the notification that my HDD is
detected. But that notification don't even shows up for aproximatly a second. The exact same thing happens in the options menu, inside systems, under storage (or something like that), that the HDD icon is just flashing and I can't interact with it.

I tried nearly everyting I found on the internet, that contains:

-I tried every USB port in my Xbox, and tried and other USB 3.0 cable with zero succes.

-I saw that holding the Xbox button for 10 sec my help, it didn't. Saw that too, that I need to unplug the Xbox for several minutes, still no effect.

-I saw that I need to fromat my HDD on PC. Tried it several times, still nothing.

-There is an aplication for SeaGate products, I runned several fixis and thing like that, and still nothing changed.

-Saw that maybe there is a corrupted file, so I soft reseted my Xbox. (I mean the one, that keeps games)

What should I do?A hard reset may help? My Borderlands gonna arrive in the next days, and I want to play it....

PS: Thank you for reading it, and is you can help, thank you My Xbox can't detect properly my HDD. :)

    :)

Sorry, I'm very good at english^^. You mean the cord from the Xbox to the HDD or the cord to power the Xbox?

If the first, I have a 256GB HDD (used for storeing photos on it) too, I tried that out with it's own cable, and it worked fine. With the other HDD both cord works, but with the bigger one, none of them.

If the second, the Xbox was plugged into an extension cord, (I had a Xbox player pointed it out to me, thank to him) but I plugged it into an empty socked, and nothing changed.

He said that, it could be that there isn't enought current to the HDD to work properly. Now, I'm into looking after a solution to it. Or I should change the cord of the Xbox? It could be damaged? Or use a USB hub for connecting them together? He sad that,
it could cause the HDD's led to flashing and not detecting properly.

What should I do now? At this point I hard reseted my Xbox and still nothing worked, and I run oit of ideas.

    Hello Balmy,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. It does seem like you have done all the troubleshooting involving

    hard drive detection
. It may seem unlikely, but it is possible that cord could be the issue. do you have a replacement USB cord that you can try out?

A hard reset may solve this problem. Hold down the power button until the system shuts down and unplug the power cable. Wait for 5 min and plug it back in and restart the console
