my Xbox cannot connect TO ANYTHING

when I said reset on the xbox I did mean a soft factory reset, keeps the apps, and saves but deletes everything else (I belive)

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. To clarify, there is no way to connect to a network with only a router. The routers function is to amplify the modems internet connection and make it wireless. If you only have one network device, then more
than likely it is a gateway. A gateway is a modem and router in one, eliminating the need for 2 network devices.

Is the error you are getting "Cant get a Teredo IP address"? If so, follow the steps on this link here, select the teredo option to get steps for that issue :

”I get an error message when I run the ‘Test multiplayer connection’ on Xbox One”

Unfortunately this isn't on our end, AT&T is currently having an issue with our services. The best course of action at this time would be to reach out to them since they might be able to clear this up.

I would also need to let my Xbox even update before I could try anything as I tried a reset and its stuck at trying to update
