    My xbox can no longer open any game or app


    every since i enrolled in xbox insider my xbox has had smaller issues that i could look over. a few months ago i was stuck in a home screen that hadn’t loaded, but that fixed itself after several hours and didn’t happen again.

    around a week ago, i could tell that something was wrong because the xbox booting up animation room 5 minutes, and when i played a game there were constant frame drops to the point that i literally could not play anything anymore.

    but a couple days ago, (i’m not sure how to describe this)but something malfunctioned and after trying to boot up, i only had the choice to restart my xbox or factory reset it, and after many restarts and being presented with the same choice, i factory reset it.

    my console worked fine for the next few hours, but the next time i tried using it, any time i tried to open something it would give me an error message that it took too long to start.

    i unenrolled from xbox insider, and restarted my console and factory reset it again. i’m still experiencing this. is there anything i can do to fix it?

    OK, so, I was just able to get my Xbox to update by hitting the try again button over again. However that still did not solve the black screen issue. The Xbox wont start up any game period. It just stays on the home screen when i try to open a game from
    there. Going to "my games and apps" still is not working and just sends me to a black screen until i hit the Xbox button and go back home. The only difference post update on xbox one is that i now can no longer launch any kind of app from the store. I used
    to be able to launch netflix and watch movies but it does not react at all to me pressing launch on anything. I used to be able to go to my movies from store but that no longer opens either.

    How do I snap an app with new update

    Snap is no longer a feature on the console. If you are looking to use Twitch then you can open the app while a game is running and select Broadcast. After that you would need to have a pc or laptop nearby to see any comments on the stream.

    Have you tried these methods?

    1. Delete the local saved games and reinstall the game.
    2. Install the game in Offline mode.
    3. Ensure that there is enough storage space to install the game.
    4. Make sure Xbox Live Services are not down.
    5. Install System Updates on your console.
    6. Install the game on the internal hard drive.
    7. Clean your Xbox One disc.
    8. Sign in to the correct Xbox account.
    9. Switch to Google DNS.
    10. Perform a Factory Reset.
    11. Format your Xbox One External Hard Drive.

    I am sorry you are going through this problem with your console, if you have tried the reset keeping games and apps, you need to try it now by deleting everything.

    Also try performing a full system load via USB as instructed in the following link.

    Windows 11 Xbox App doesn't launch, never.

    Xbox APP worked very well since I bought my Laptop earlier this year, until I finally activated my Game free 3 month Pass Ultimate and gave my payment info. I was able to download and install one game, then any game I would try to install would give an "unknown path" for installation, and would not let me install it. I tried to restart the laptop and now XBOX app no longer opens. I see the black opening screen for a few seconds and then it shuts down.

    It seems to be a common problem (google search), but all the suggested fixes (restart, update windows, reset app, ...) does change anything.
