Xbox One controller not working while streaming to PC

I am trying to stream Xbox One to my Windows 10 PC using the Xbox App, with the Xbox One controller connected to my PC via USB. The controller works fine within the app itself, but is completely unresponsive once the stream starts. A few months ago, I was
able to do this without any problems, but it just doesn't appear to work anymore. I have tried uninstalling the controller in Windows, and then reinstalling it, but that doesn't seem to work either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to troubleshoot Xbox App on PC connection to the Xbox One console?

After the latest Xbox PC App update the app can't find my console anymore. Is there any proper way to troubleshoot the connection?

- Xbox App version 28.28.28008.0

- Xbox One OS version 10.0.15062_2022

- The connection worked before the PC App update

- Ping works from PC to Xbox

- Both devices are in the same subnet

- On Xbox app going to console-section there is nothing visible (as I removed the previous connection while attempting to troubleshoot this)

- Add device -> nothing visible

- Adding the IP address returns failure that the console can't be found

- At the same time running ping to the console IP address works

- Console is switched on

- Rebooting PC doesn't work

- Rebooting console doesn't work

- Xbox app connection is allowed in console settings

- Following protocols are allowed across the LAN (tcp and udp): 5050, 4838, 49000-65000

What are the exact protocols that the Xbox App is using in attempting to find/connect to the console?

Is there any logging flags for the Xbox App?

Check Wi-Fi if you have both devices on the same network. Also see if you have NAT Open. Make sure you have enough internet speed. Clean up the cache in the console and also clean the registry and other things with a cleaner, for example. CCleaner.

Then try again.

Hi there,

Can you make sure that both the Xbox and PC are connecting to the same subnetwork and network band? Most routers have two frequencies you can connect to 5Ghz and 2.4GHz. Double check and make sure they are both connected to the same band and make sure they
are connected to the 5GHz band since the streaming works better with that connection.

Do you have any objects in between the Xbox and the router that can cause interference? Do your two bands share the same SSID or are the labeled differently?

Also have you made sure all of the options to allow streaming are selected on the Xbox console?
