My Xbox accont is set to home on an xbox that isnt mine.

So basically the lowdown is I agreed to let a "buddy" set my account as his home. Then later we got in a dispute and I changed my home back so he wasnt able to play the games I bought. But before I could change my password he pulled a fastone and set his
xbox as the home. So now it's stuck set to home on his xbox and he just freely uses the games I paid for.

This happened a couple months before 2016 so i was hoping I could change it back in the new year. But alas I cannot. I'm hoping someone can help me solve this issue and get this parasite off my games. Thanks!

Reset Home Xbox

Hey I need to reset my home xbox... idk which xbox is my home, but it isnt one of mine, and I'd like to fix it

To check to make sure its set as the home, go to settings, preferences. It will say at the bottom, this isnt my home Xbox if it is set as the home

Sorry to hear it. The reason you cannot change the Home console is because there is a limit on how many times you can set the Home console in a one year period. Not per year.

If you have reached that limit then I would recommend changing the email and/or password for your account. Then contact phone support to see if they are able to help you reset the Home setting for your account. This will ensure that the other person would
not be able to repeat what he has already done.

That is a good reason to NOT use the sharing option with someone other than immediate family living in the same household. Good Luck on getting the issue resolved.

This feels specific if it helps my problem is th my gameshared xbox ultimate gamepass benefits wont work on my x account but have already set up game share setting before and reset once after benifts stopped tried to sign into friends accont with game pass
but could Not use any games at all on either account wifi is good

One other thing gold is included but does not allow access to either pfofile on my account so strange seeing my frein set him xbox as my acc home xbox his acc mine
