    My Xbox 360 "X" button is performing the same actions as my "Y" button.


    I have been playing 2k18 on my Xbox 360 for about a full year now, and never has this problem occurred.

    While trying to steal the ball. you must press the "X" button in order to do so, but, I was suddenly blocking the person which you have to press the "Y" button to block.

    I have tried every remedy there is online e.g. Alcohol, hand sanitizer, Q-tips, etc. But no luck. I have played this game daily and this is suddenly happening out of nowhere. Please Help. The 360 console brand itself is very old and I will not resort to
    buying a new one as it is virtually impossible where I live.

    There are lots of companies who make their own Xbox 360 controllers, they're usually a lot cheaper and wired only.

    Try shutting the console down and unplugging it for a couple minutes to see if that helps. If not try a different controller.

    I live in the Bahamas, so websites like Ebay etc. will not deliver to where I live. I also do not like on the Capital of New Providence so like I said, it is impossible for me to get a new one

    thats without a doubt a faulty controller, Can happen over time due to use, Your only real option is to replace the controller.

    The xbox 360 controllers can be sourced very easily and without much cost (ebay) there are also cheaper 3rd party controllers aswell.
