My Xbox 360- wrong password?

i tried to log on to a Xbox 360 with my Microsoft account but it told me my password is wrong but i know it is right.

Can i not log on to a Xbox 360 with a Microsoft account or is there another problem?

I suggest to start some troubleshooting on the console.

• Power cycle console (Disconnect and
  reconnect your console's power cable)
• Test Xbox Live Connection

• Remove
  and Re-add Xbox Profile

Try this and let us know the results!

 

those option didnt work.

evertime i i type my password in it tells me that password didnt work but i know it is right

 

It's possible that you may have two step verification enabled for your account. You'll need to use an app password in place of your actual account password to be able to sign into your account on the Xbox 360.

Also go to
account website try and log in there and see if the password is correct. Also I encourage you to do as Cid posted to set up an app password. If you unable to log in on website and the console, is it possible it got changed you can go through the steps to
reset password while on the Account website.

As others already suggested, if you have Two Step Verification enabled on
https://account.live.com/Proofs/Manage, you will have to create an app password on that website and use that app password instead of your regular password on the 360.

Additionally, know that the Xbox 360 only supports passwords that have less than 16 characters. So if you have an exceptionally long password, consider going to the linked page about Account Proofs, and enable Two Step Verification, set up the Authenticator
App on your phone and then create and use the app password as described above.

 

More then likely what is happening is what Arminator said especially if you can sign in at either account.microsoft.com or account.xbox.com

the password box on 360s can only hold 16 characters so once it gets to the 16th character it no longer takes anymore so when you try and sign in after putting in the password it looks and sees that it does not match the password for the account.

So the easiest thing to do would be to make a password that is less then 16 characters.
