My Xbox 360 won't update from USB

Hi everyone!.

So I'm here to ask a question that maybe some of you guys have experienced this. As I wrote in subject, my xbox 360 won't update from USB flash drive. Even won't update from everywhere!. Before this, I has tried to update via wireless connection. And it
failed with error C800-0036. Does anyone have a solution for my problem?.

Xbox Internal Storage corrupt

Bought an Xbox 360 Skylanders bundle for Christmas 2012 and the hard drive is so *** up I can't do anything really. It won't connect to Live at all won't even run an update from USB. Tried formatting and get an error that a device has been removed and it
can't continue. It won't let me run from USB either as it doesn't give me an option to install apps to there just defaults to the internal storage. Anyone else had similar issues with the 4GB Xbox?

has the spring update been released yet?

If it was me, and it will be the next time I boot up my consoles, I would get the update from the

USB update instructions.

The code you posted means that your console has been tampered with and cannot connect online at all as it has been banned from Live. This would be the reason it cannot take the update and there is no workaround for the ban.

Obsessive Power

The update for Xbox 360 is either downloaded from Xbox Live or updated via a disc or USB drive. A replacement hdd won't force an O.S update to my knowledge.

The main Operating System is stored on a non user accessible flash storage anyway.

If you don't update the console you won't lose the blades.

Thanks for the update. You may want to try updating your console with a USB drive, using a USB drive will reduce the need to download the update from the Xbox. To perform this, check out this article:

@Min - if you're having issues downloading the update and the console won't recognize your ethernet cable, you can either download the update to a usb/cd and load it from there (link below) or contact support to set up a repair.

Just to verify that you've copied the $Systemupdate correct to your USB drive. Copy the "$Systemupdate" folder from the ZIP-Compressed file to your USB drive. Do not copy the individual files to the USB drive from the "$systemupdate" folder.
If you did this correctly, Open your USB Stick on the PC with a double click, you should ONLY see the "$systemupdate" folder (with the dollar sign). And nothing else.
