    My Xbox 360 won't run certain games?


    So I recently bought a new Xbox 360, and I also bought the Borderlands games a while back (Borderlands, Borderlands 2, and the PreSequel, along with installation disks for the dlc for each game) but my xbox won't recognize any of the disks at all, but it
    runs every other disk just fine. The disks previously worked without any problems on my brother's xbox, and they've barely been used at all, and they're not scratched or damaged in any way. So I can't seem to find any reason for why they aren't working. Thank
    you so much in advance if you can help me in any way.

    My xbox won't run games

    Since i got my Xbox One, i've had the problem that there are a specific set of games that when i tried to play, it wouldnt run them. Like I just launch the game and the game just shows the launch image and then the screen goes black. I still have access
    to the xbox menu, but after some time has passed since i launched the game, my xbox restarts

    The list of games that i couldnt play are

    • Assassins Creed Unity(Digital)
    • Fallout 4(Disk)
    • Lords of the fallen(Digital)
    • Final Fantasy XV(Disk)
    • Assassins creed Syndicate(DIgital)
    • Also the Beta of For Honor
    It is really frustrating having the fear that a new game i adquired may not run on my console. So please, help me

    Xbox 360 compatibility with Xbox 720!

    From what I've been reading on the Interwebz, both next gen consoles from both Sony and Microsoft maybe ditching IBM Power-PC for AMD/Intel based x86 hardware. If that happens Xbox 360 games would have to be emulated just like original Xbox games are run
    using emulation on the Xbox 360. Unless of course these new consoles also feature a last generation CPU for backwards compatibility.

    But since nothing has be officially announced, who knows. One thing is certain, I won't be getting rid of my Xbox 360 for some time to come.

    Hi,

    If you purchased the season pass for Borderlands 2 on your Xbox 360, then this downloadable content will also transfer to your Xbox One. It's always been this way. However, it won't download on it's own, you'll need to manually download it. My Xbox 360
    Fallout 3 game's DLC transferred over. As for game saves, you'll need your original Xbox 360 for that. When you upload your saves to to the Cloud on the 360, they will be available on the Xbox One.

    If a BC game ran like was a native Xbox One game, you wouldn't be able to play other users on their Xbox 360 consoles. Playing an Xbox 360 game as if it was an Xbox One game wouldn't make the Xbox 360 games suddenly look as good as Xbox One games. Only
    the Xbox One X has the power to 'Enhance' certain Xbox 360 software, and it still achieves this running through an emulation of the 360.

    games won't run in 4k, just like games on 360 won't run in 1080p plus 4k tvs are like $10,000.

    Have you played other Original Xbox games on your Xbox 360?

    Backwards compatibility requires an original Xbox 360 Hard disc with the pre-installed backwards compatibility software. If the disc is wiped, this is lost.

    So... if I have formatted my official HDD, I have no access to the emulator anymore? And there's no way of getting it back, like downloading it from Xbox Live?
    If it's an offical drive formated with the console it will still work.

    If it's not offical like Arminator X mentioned, it won't make any difference.
