thanks, but that is for when my xbox is connecting to the internet but not xbox live and my xbox wont connect to the internet either

my wireless networking adapter (the one with one antanna) is picking up my internet connection and is also connecting but for some reason my internet connection wont connect to the internet. All of the other devices in the house are conectring fine. Its
just my xbox that wont

Based on the description, you are unable to connect the Xbox 360 console to the internet. Let us check and see on what we can do to help resolve your concern in a timely manner.

We would like to ask few questions to help us isolate the issue further.

1. When did the issue start?

2. Has there been any changes with your Xbox Console before this issue happen?

3. What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Here are the troubleshooting steps that we can perform:

1. Test your connection

- Press the Guide button on your controller.

- Select Settings > System Settings, and then Network Settings.

- Select the name of your Wireless Network, or select Wired Network for a wired connection.

- Select Test Xbox Live Connection.

2. Clear the cache

- Go to System settings > Storage > Hard drive.

- Press Y and delete the cache.



3. Roll back system updates

- Go to System settings > Storage.

- Enter the following button sequence: X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.

- Select the option to roll back all system updates that are installed. The console will restart automatically.

4. Reset your network hardware

- Turn off your Xbox 360 console and your network hardware (such as your modem and router).

- Wait 30 seconds.

- Turn on your modem and wait for it to come online (approximately one minute).

- Turn on the next piece of hardware (for example, your router) and wait another minute.

- Restart your Xbox console.

5. Reset network settings to factory defaults

- Go to Network Settings and select the network you are trying to connect to.

- Then select Configure network and on the following page go over to Additional Settings.

- From there, Restore to Factory Defaults should be the last option, select that and go through the process of re-entering your network information and try re-connecting.
