My Xbox 360 wont connect online or update

My dad bought a xbox 360 touch slim awhile ago.I remember using it to login and see if it worked and connected to xbox live. It has a 250gb hard drive in it. He gave it to me to update it and to put games on it so my nieces can play it. It wont connected
to online with wireless or direct connect. It keeps trying to have me update but gives me a long error code.

So i looked up some information, I downloaded the latest update, put my flash drive in, let my xbox 360 format it. took it ot my computer and extracted the update on to the flash drive. it started to update and was doing it's thing and then it gave me another
error code.

Status code: 4467-4476-2600-0F00-C000-0034

I even formatted the console back to factory settings before i did all this because it wouldn't connect online. I don't know what else to do from here.

I never played on the console, just logged in and updated it the 1st time we got it and it sat for a year the most not being plugged in or anything.

Smartglass issues please help

My smartglass app wont connect to my xbox 360 with either apple or android. Using the xbox 360 smartglass but it wont connect to my xbox. Suggestions anyone?

 

Xbox one can't connect to 360 servers

My xbox one can connect to all xbox one servers, but if i try to play a 360 game on my xbox one, it wont connect to online. I can still use xbox one party chat and messaging but can't play the 360 game online. PLZ HELP.

As the link M3tal Daz3 posted above suggests, the console can't read the Update from your storage device.

If possible, try the following:

Turn the console off and remove the hard drive from the console.

Take your USB drive to the PC, and format it completely (do not do a quick format). Make sure you format it in the FAT file system, not NTFS.

Again, unzip the downloaded update to the USB drive.

While your PC is formatting and copying the update, do the following on your console.

With the console turned off, hold the Bind button next to the front flap of the USB ports. With the button held down, turn the console on, and keep the button held until the console shows you the dashboard.

Go to the settings hub on the far right, and go to the System tile.

Go to the storage settings, and press the button combination LB RB X LB RB X.

Let the console perform maintenance, and restart.

Now insert your USB drive with the system update again, and let the console update.

Does that work now?
