My Xbox 360 will not keep the correct time and date

I have an older Xbox 360 that is not connected to the internet. I can set the date and time but when you turn it off and back on it resets. Is there a way to get it to keep the date and time.

Hello, I have a halo reach limited edition xbox 360 and the date/time keeps resetting to 22-11-2005, I keep updating it via live or otherwise but after a few turn-off and turn-ons it just goes straight back. seems to be on a day-to-day or week-to-week
basis that this occurs. what could be the cause of it and how can I fix it? It is really annoying because it keeps re-locking my RADNET unlocks for Prototype 2 because "the date is well before the correct date"

settings issue

Since the recent update the time and date on my console keep resetting to 21/11/2005 12:00 am,every day i change it to correct date and time then the next day it's back to 21/11/2005 12:00 am,before update this never happened,how do i fix this problem?

I don't think so, leave it connected to power might work, and connecting it to the internet will definately work

Just confirming that it's not possible. For whatever reason the CMOS battery doesn't store date and time settings and the OS relies solely on a time server.

It sounds like the power cut, has made your xbox do a hard reset. Going into settings and you click on the time\date and change them to the correct date and time if time is wrong,

If unplugging the console and plugging it back in does not correct the ethernet and/or date and time issue you will likely need to have it serviced.

Sept 1, 2014 could be the default date of the xbox, meaning the cmos reset to it's "epoch"., that in connection with a failed ethernet could mean a power spike or system failure. Even if the date does correct, if it keeps setting to the 2014 date you'll
want to get it serviced.
