    My Xbox 360 turns on but there is no display


    when I switch on the Xbox 360 the adaptor light from Amber turns green. The Xbox 360 does not display anything on the screen. The fan is running continuously .

    HDMI? AV port (composite, component, VGA)?

    Can you gives us some more information, is the Xbox 360 connected to your TV via HDMI cable or an analog video dongle?

    Have you reset the consoles display settings and turned off display discovery?

    Display Discovery can be turned off by going to XBOX 360 Dashboard > Settings > System > Console Settings > Display Discovery > Off.

    Try that out and let us know if that works at all.

    Turn off display discovery on the 360 (under the system/display settings) and that should fix things...

    In particular the section on resetting the display settings.

    To reset your display settings, follow these steps:

    1. Make sure there’s no disc in the disc tray.
    2. Turn off the console.
    3. Turn on the console.
    4. As the console starts, press and hold the Y button  while pulling the right trigger on the controller. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically
      restarts.

    Xbox 360 E or Xbox 360 S console: To reset display setting on these console models, you can also just turn off the console and then hold the power button on the front of the console down for about 10 seconds. (The lights will flash
    several times.)
