My Xbox 360 Slim turns it self on an off

i think it would be trying cool it self off...since u have the old model of the 360, yea, ur likey going to run into problems, i had that with all my old 360 before i had the new slim 360, all the old 360 do that, i would turn it off after an hour or few
hours of gaming, and power brick would stay green, and console would act like it downloading..i think your going have to get used to it because it going happens alot..if i was you, i would sell it to get the new slim xbox before the old 360 console give u
more problems...getting the slim xbox would save u the trouble.

FYI Every Xbox slim seems to get hot but really its a normal temperature. If the slim begins to over heat or senses that it will it will automatically shut its self off unlike the older style Xbox 360's

As for the game issue i will poke around and see if there is a solution to your issue.

I have the problem too. My XBOX 360 Slim turn off and on self.

I try a lot of solution:

- I no play game, just see menu

- Remove battery to controller and i just use button in Xbox

- Try HDMI and VGA cable

- Send my Xbox, guarantee service to microsoft (They no find error)

- Shut off all other electical unit

I am frustrated and angry, no one can help. I bought an original Xbox and games, becouse I did not want trouble...

Some power strips have that master on/ off port I would not plug into those plugs. Don't plug Xbox into home theater system plug or cable box plug. Also change the toggle in the power on settings in Xbox. I had quirky problems using toggle mode. Pick on
or off if possible or do nothing. I have a friend who had similar problem with old theatre system because it was slow to load the video signal when powering up. So Xbox wouldn't see re tv signal and thought the tv was off and it would shut down. Especially
when you have the auto off function enabled in Xbox.
