    My Xbox 360 Slim keeps shutting off on its own.


    It contenuously will shut off, even after i have wiped it down. Any suggestions?

    Xbox 360 Slim Shutting Off by Itself

    Hi, my Xbox 360 Slim keeps shutting off by itself. Theres nothing bumping the button, its in the same spot ive kept my older 360 for years, the power brick shows a solid orange light. Help?

    Xbox keeps shutting off.

    I have an Xbox 360 Slim and it keeps randomly shutting off. Whenever it shuts off it dosn't have the red rings however the light on the power supply turns red. Any tips.

    Can you tell me more about what is happening with your console? Does it shut off after a certain amount of time? Does your console have enough ventilation around it so that it is not getting too hot? Any further details will help us troubleshoot your
    question.

    It shuts off within the first 20 seconds of it being turned on, that is, if it will turn on. it has plenty ventilation.

    I am running into same issue but mine shuts of randomly. I played last night and it worked fine unlike yesterday when it shut off 3x during the load up screen of Mass Effect 2 but after 3rd time it worked fine. It does this with any game we play. The
    consul is on top of my entertainment center with nothing around it, the power cord is inside with nothing around it also. Both are always cool and we can hear/feel the fan working. Warranty just expired a couple of weeks ago so now what do I do?

    Xbox 360 Slims, as far as I know, keep themselves from overheating by shutting off if they get too hot. I've been constantly using my Xbox 360 Elite for a year now and no RRoD for me :D
