My xbox 360 slim is taking a long time going to the dashboard.

My xbox is taking an unusually long time going to the dashboard. I have tried clearing the hard drive cache, deleting my profile, and deleting any corrupt files. I still have loads of space on my 250 gig hard drive and I don't know what is happening.
I wonder if the heat in my room affects the speed of loading. My air conditioning unit failed recently and it's almost 90+ in my room. Could that be the problem?

Xbox 360 Slim loading VERY SLOWLY

My MW3 Xbox 360 slim has just recently started taking a long time to load. When you start the xbox it stays on the Xbox 360 logo for about 20 minutes. I need Help with this issue.

 

Transferring Hard Drive Info

Hey guys. I was wondering since my brother is going to college and taking our xbox 360 Slim with him. If i buy a new xbox (slim) will i be able to transfer just my data to the new hard drive. Without taking all of the data off.

Heat is unlikely. Usually the only few things that the console does during boot up but after the Xbox 360 logo, is load your profile and connect to Xbox Live's servers. If it's sitting on the Logo screen, then it may be heat.

 

It's not sitting on the logo screen, it takes forever to sign in and even then it doesn't sign into live.

Well it has returned to normal speed when i took it out of the hotter room and in to a cooler room. Thank you very much for the suggestions.

 

Then you have a connection issue if it doesn't sign into live. Try to run the Network Troubleshooter on your console.

 

It works fine now that it is in a cooler room. No connection issues, no lag. Thanks for the suggestions though.
