My xbox 360 Slim E keeps turning on by itself

I have a problem with my Xbox 360 slim E 4gb,

basically what it does is it turns on by itself the creepy thing is that it happens most of the time at night when i'm at sleep

another thing that always happens is it turns on when i turn the light switch of my room on/off or i plug or unplug something that is plugged in the same place as the 360

another thing i want to say is that my console's power source thing (i don't know how it's called) is a 220v instead of 110v since i live in Uruguay

This is no big problem for me i just want to know why is my console doing this,

and by the way if i posted on the wrong forum section I am sorry I'm kind of new here hehe

Turning on by itself Please Help

My Xbox 360 Slim is t turning on by itself if it is plugged in. when it does turn it says there is a controller connected and keeps clicking the A button but both of the controllers I own are wireless and have the battery pack took out. PLEASE HELP thanks

The power brick is universal, meaning it automatically switches between 220 and 110 volts.

As far as your console turning on and off, first, I'd resync your wireless controllers. Something may be on the same frequency causing your console to think that the controller is trying to turn it on. Another thing I can suggest is to unplug your power
brick, and cable out of the brick, and make sure that everything looks good, and then plug it back in and make sure that it's all snug.

Hi - is the power button or eject button on the console dirty in the slightest? If so, that can cause this. Try taking a dry, soft cloth and cleaning the surface of both buttons with the power cable removed.

I don't have it hooked up to the internet and their is nothing for it to download.

maybe u have the thing turned on where it downloads stuff when your xbox is off(the lights flash and it looks like its on)

Does it turn on right after you turn the Xbox off, or just randomly during the night? I was thinking that the guide on your Xbox 360 controller might have been getting stuck, or the power button the Xbox 360 has been getting stuck or something, but that
probably isn't it. Might be worth calling Microsoft, see what they say.

If you're worried about it wasting electricity, go to your guide and go over to console settings. In the system settings you should be able to set an auto shutoff time.
