My xbox 360 says I'm typing wrong password

So it will let me sign in on here but on my xbox 360 it won't it says 'that email or password is incorrect' so I'm wondering why? any help would be great thanks

Xbox won't sign in

Hi guys. Bit of a newbie here. Just one quick question. I have set up an account with my email address. As you can see, I am signed in now here. But when I enter my details to sign in on my Xbox 360 console, it says either email address doesn't have an
account or password is wrong. I am typing them correctly. Please, any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

I remember some people having similar problems with the Xbox 360. It may be because their password has certain characters that's not supported in the Xbox 360 password field, or their password may be too long in length.

Try changing your password and see if it helps.

I can't even sign into my gamer profile that I made on the 360 I even changed the password 5 times it keeps saying that I'm putting in the wrong Microsoft password wtf

Ok, the problem was fixed with my Microsoft for my Xbox 360 now it keeps saying the password is wrong (when it is correct) on my Xbox One

Make sure your password is not longer than 16 characters.

There is a limit of 16 characters for the password box on the 360s.

So if your password is longer than 16 characters when typing it into the password box on the 360 it will stop on the 16 character and not type any past that so it will show your credentials as being wrong.
