My xbox 360 lock me out!

Approximately a year ago I bought xbox 360. I powered up the unit & created the profile, every thing was working fine. I was able to play game online no problem. I hadn't update the box for a while (one year?) because I had been playing game offline
no need to go online. Recently, I feel the urge to go play game online but my box won't let me access my account profile. It appear to lock me out. I cannot update the system, cannot connect to xbox live, cannot access my account or profile through the console.
Please, HELP?

All I can think of is to get in touch with support again (support.xbox.com/.../contact-us) and tell them what has happened and that you have validated your proofs. Sorry I couldn't be
of much help.

"Sorry, this console can't play until your subscription payments are up to date" is the message displayed.

I'm given the two options of:

- Turn Off Console

- Try Again

And then to the side it says

"Microsoft Account: Unavailable

Serial Number: <Insert Serial Number Here>

Please go to Xbox.com/mycontract for more info"

which turns out just has the Terms and Conditions for an Xbox Entertainment for All Plan. No where to go to resolve the actual issue. So I called for support. Caller says she'll have to escalate the problem and I''ll receive an email. Three days later, still
no email. I try the chat support, to which the first guy tries power cycles and redownloading system updates to no avail. Try chat support again, we try redownloading my profile but then I get the "Profiles can't be downloaded at this time." and her only solution
is to redownload system updates. As I've already tried that, she says she'll escalate the problem and I will receive an email. I just let this problem go for a few week and accepted my xbox as the brick it was until I got an email today. The email asks me
to validate my proofs, which I do. Go to replug the xbox back in and still nothing works. Anyone in support have anymore ideas or should I just set it on fire for at least *some* sort of entertainment?

If you can`t get online, you will probably need to update via usb or cd.

 

Did you purchase this Xbox system used?

It can be dangerous buying used systems from third party vendors or private sellers because the previous owner could have abused the online Terms of Service or Code of Conduct and got that particular console permanently banned from the Xbox Live service.
If that is the case there is no way around it.

[Edit: After rereading the original post it seems you've used the console online prior to your current issue. My apologies for misreading]

 

The same happened to my wife as she had not been on-line for over 12 months. You will need to update your info on your Microsoft account to regain access.
