Xbox 360 power supply

hi my xbox 360 keeps shutting down when im in the middle of a game and its annoying me i have bought a security key screw driver to open the power supply and cleaned the fan but it keeps on shutting down is there any where i could buy a replacement in new

360 Keeps shutting off

I've gone thru all of the trouble shooting suggestions and no matter what I do my xbox keeps shutting off. Its a little over a year old and this is the second xbox 360 to crash on me. I play less than once a week and am at the point where i'm thinking of
trying a new system. I just can't rationalize spending another couple of hundred bucks to have this thing fixed or to buy a new one.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

That probably is the best idea! MS has discontinued support for the older models so if yours fall into that category you can't repair it anyway. Could you be a little more specific?

Other than repair? i would suggest buying the new Xbox 360 S. It hasn't had any problems for as long as i had it.

My Xbox360 was unable to access any options when I turn it on as it kept trying to 'Update' the Xbox 360 and it presents 'XBox 360 Update Failed'. I can't access any other options but to shut it down. Any suggestions to help it get going well again?

They haven't shut down any regions store on the 360.

I'm in the U.K. & easily use the store on the xbox 360.

Considering you also need the xbox 360 store to buy backwards compatible games on a xbox one then why would they shut it down?

Xbox Live is Xbox Live. There is no 360 version and a XB1 version. If they shut down one, so goes the other. Any lost support to the 360 will be thanks to the developers. MS has stated before that they plan to support the 360 AS LONG as the developers
