My Xbox 360 is dead. Long live the 360!

After Nearly 10 years of non-stop gameplay. My original 360 that I bought at launch finally died by giving me the red ring this afternoon. I have many fond memories of this system and the abundant of memories it had provided me. I have a mast 119 games on
XBLA and 155 physical games , making my 360 collection a total of 274 games. As many people gave the original 360 a lot of lip about the red ring of death. I was fortunate that my system lasted as long as it did and for the amount of hours myself and family
put into it, I'm surprised it didn't died sooner. Although I wasn't blessed with the "golden ticket" for the free Xbox one, I was still happy with this fantastic piece of gaming history. Now as Im preparing myself to disconnect the system, I now going to have
to save up for a Xbox One and another 360. I know the Xbox one is backwards compatible now, I doubt it will support all of the games in my collection. Thank you Microsoft for one of the greatest system I have the pleasure of owning and once I could buy the
xbox one, I'm sure I will get that feeling again.

It seems this was always going to happen, even when they were running along side each other for a while, Gamestation gave good prices compared to game, but this was always the outcome.

Shame Really.

I'm doubt too that Xbox One BC will support all Xbox 360 games, so just keep your Xbox 360 for Xbox 360 games and use your Xbox One for Xbox One games.

 

I love my 360 slim. It's been through hell but keeps on trucking. Like the time it fell off my stupidly-made glass shelf and onto the floor, still worked. And it was near my sliding glass door during some construction outside, and nearly coated with dust.
And the time my baby nephew pressed the on and off button like 100 times one day. Still workin!

 

my original 360 console died a couple of years ago and was completely faultless since launch, just now have to save up for xbone.

 

That is awesome but sad at the same time. I have gone through quite a few Xbox 360's since 2006. And I still agree, Xbox 360 is one fantastic piece of technology. The Xbox 360 has done what no ther console has.... Adapt, Evolve, Overcome.

Console of the decade undoubtedly.
