My Xbox 360 controller is not woking

Discus and support My Xbox 360 controller is not woking in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; My issue is with the: "wired Xbox 360 controller" the device manager says "Unknown USB Device(Device descriptor request failed)".     My Xbox 360 controller is not woking


    My issue is with the: "wired Xbox 360 controller" the device manager says "Unknown USB Device(Device descriptor request failed)".

    I'm on Windows 10 version 21h1.

    By going into proprieties >Details> Hardware IDS the Vaule is: "USB\DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_FAILURE.

    I used to use this controller on an old laptop where it would work without any issue. I tried plugging the controller into every USB port which didn't work and the same problem occurred.

    I couldn't find any drivers for this controller, on the official website.

    to solve this problem I tried:

    - Check & Fix USB Power Settings

    - Update Windows

    - Windows Powershell Hardware Troubleshooting

    - Updating The Driver Of my Device

    - Manually Update The Driver

    - Updating Generic USB Hub & USB Root Hub

    - Uninstall Generic USB Hub & USB Root Hub

    - Restarting

    - Disabling Fast Startup

    - I also tried to manually update the driver by browsing my computer but failed to find the driver I need "xbox 360 controller" I had tried other similar driver but the controller wasn't working

    - I installed the XBOX app

    thanks for your kind response

    I tried the controller on other devices but it doesn't work, the error message is the same.

    I Tried the "in place install of Windows" but it it doesn't work, the error message is the same.

    I would love to manually install the driver of the controller, but the guide that you have pointed at will lead me to this site. Maybe I'm blind but I cannot find the drivers downloads link, I only find the pdf of the instruction manuals.

    I have checked for known issues, but so far I have found old guides that wont work for me.

    No, it doesn't work on others computers too, as I previously stated. The controller it self is not identifiable by any computer and I cannot manually download the drivers because they aren't available on Xbox sites or windows sites but only on 3th party sites, that I do not trust.

    We appreciate you have shared the troubleshooting you have done. In connection to that, we will suggest few troubleshooting here that you can try:

    Do you have other PC? Will this error message shows up?
