    My Xbox 3.5mm headset will not work.


    Firstly, yes, I have tried everything. I am only having one issue. I suspect my Microphone and Headset volume need to be customized on the Headset's slider as well as the Xbox controller option in Settings > Devices And Accessories > Xbox Controller > Volume.
    If so, my trouble is that when I select volume, instead of the slider I see on the internet it just returns me to my Home page and has my cursor under settings. Like it just kicked me out somehow.

    If I buy a Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter can I use a xbox 360 headset? Also can I use any genuine 3.5mm headset on xbox one?

    Yes sir. Not entirely sure about "any genuine 3.5mm headset". I don't know if, for example, an Iphone headset + mic would work or not, but you can definitely use ANY Xbox 360 headset that has a 3.5mm jack.

    The newer version of Xbox One controllers have a 3.5mm jack so you can plug in any headset which has a 4 pole 3.5mm connector in order to use that as a headset and microphone.

    USB headsets do not work though

    it comes with standard 3.5mm and works on my old xbox controller.

    The headset in question is a Tritton Kama with a 3.5mm plug.

    the headset is brand new and marked as xbox compatible.

    I cannot get the headset to work with any of my two original wireless controllers that accepts 3.5mm without an adapter.

    When I try a wired aftermarket controller, @play, it works flawless. Headset is recognized as soon it is connected.

    I then tried my wireless controllers and wire connected them to the xbox and then connected the headset. Did not solve the problem.
