    My XBONE won't play blurays anymore


    I have been watching blurays just fine for the last few months. I even downloaded the updates when Game of Thrones blurays wouldnt play. Yesterday I rented the Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug from Redbox. When i got home, I put it in my xbox one and the
    only message that appeared was "PLEASE INSERT DISC." I figured that it was probably just the disc. So i put in my copy of Amazing Spiderman bluray and it too would not read. I then inserted a Big Bang Theory DVD and it almost instantaneously started playing
    just fine. My games also worked fine. I held down the power button to restart the console but that didnt work either. Please help. This is costing me $1.50/day that I can't get my box working again.

    360 games won't read

    Non of my discs will read. My Xbox is reading blurays and Xbone games fine just not any backwards compatibility games.

    Same issue here. Bought my Xbox in the US and it won't play region A blurays.

    I tried all of those before posting on here. Like I mentioned, the problem in localized to only blurays not playing properly. :/

    Obsolete Consoles

    They won't be obsolete in the way we think of previous gens currently as being effectively paperweights. An Xbone will still play 4k blurays and
    a lot of games. A lot of the games currently being written for the Scarlett machines will work on it too. But, if you want the
    very best experience going forward, you'll want a Series-whatever. No reason not to buy an Xbone if you want to play great games today though.

    Unfortunately didn't work although some of my Blurays sometimes play. My son is going to take the discs that won't play to try on his mates Xbox one.
