My X1 isnt turning off

I havent had this problem before.. After installing twitch update it arrived.

if i try turning off my console with controller or voice it will shut off then the light on the console will blink then it will stop and the ligjt will remain faded .. While theres a black screen.. Any ideas?

X1 stopped turning on and off my audio receiver since update

Hey everyone hoping to get some help. I am not sure if this has to do with the update but my X1 stopped turning on and off my audio receiver. Volume and mute commands still work. this morning the audio receiver stopped turning on and off when I turn power
my X1. Cable box and tv still work fine. Everything has worked perfect since I got my X1 in early January.

My setup is:

X1 HDMI into Samsung HWD550/ZA HDMI into Samsung LED

It's probably taking a little longer to shut down properly. How long are you leaving it?

If it's still on after 15 minutes or so then you could try a soft reset by holding your finger over the power button for a few seconds.

 

Yea i watched it for about 10min with no difference this sucks i wish i would have bought bestbuy insurance

 

I unplugged everything and i was able to get it to shut off now but im a little worried something more serious will happen later. Can i purchase insurance or warranty through microsoft if i purchased at bestbuy?

 

Like I say, you should have tried a soft reset instead of unplugging it. Chances are it's okay but the warranty should cover any faults. There is no extended warranty or insurance though to the best of my knowledge but here in the Uk there area a few 3rd
party companies that insure things around the house just like Xboxes.

 

Well before i unplugged everything i turned off the console by holding down the power button on the console.. What i meant to say was that after unplugging all cables and attempting to turn off the console again with my voice it began to work properly again.

Before i did that i turned it off by holding down the power button and turned it on again and attempted to turn it off with mt voice and the problem was still there. But yea after unplugging everything the problem no longer happens

 

You've probably sorted it and caused no harm. As I say, should you have any technical fault your warranty will cover it and after that 3rd party is an option.

When i try to broadcast it sais please wait while determine badwidth speeds or something like that.. And then it goes back to the previous page where it asks me for the title and under game it sais unknown game
