My X Box One just did something very strange

So I have one of the original X-Box One's. I don't use it for games much but I am kind of partial to the Assassins Creed series. Anyway so I pick up a second hand copy of the new Assassins Creed Origins on ebay. I get it, install it, it all seems to work
great. I will say though that when I first went to install the game, I had to do an X-Box update which completely changed the user interface. I am wondering if this update might be the cause. Anyway so I installed the game, played around with it a small
bit and stopped. I came back to it this morning about four days later and My Xbox would not read my disk...it kept taking me to the X-box store and wanting me to buy the game. So I tried one fo my other disks...it wouldn't read any of them. I tried uninstalling
Assassins Creed, no help, I even found an online trouble shoot which told me to take my Xbox off of instant start and put it on energy save...it did nothing. It would not read any disk I had. So I thought it was all over, that the disk drive was gone in
it. So I was going to have to either upgrade to and Xbox One X or get this one repaired...in one last ditch effort, I decided to do what you do with pretty any electronic device when it stops working...I unplugged it from the power and then plugged it back
in....problem solved...it now reads all my disks and I am currently reinstalling Assassins Creek Origins. So what exactly happened? This is the first time anything like this has happened. Does it have anything to do with the new system update?

HELP!

I have started a new x box live gold account today. I did it on the computer, but now i cant seem to transfer it over to my x box. I could be doing something wrong but everytime i try it says the windows live id is already in use or something like that.
How do i get this account onto my x box so i can use my x box live gold membership? Please help.

 

X Box live is NOT secure.

You can secure something without 2 emails or phone numbers, trust me on that one. Even if they DID use them, the fact they connect your hot mail to your X box live is actually LESS secure. My blunder just proved that. I changed my wifes email password with
my backup email address on the X Box live account. Get it?

It's an occasional error that happens when your Xbox hasn't fully powered down in a while, possibly due to a corrupted memory cache or something.

A power cycle does the trick for most odd system behavior. You've essentially performed one by unplugging the entire system, but you can use the steps in that article instead.
